Darrah earned a BFA degree with an emphasis in painting, yet eventually fell in love with the challenge of working with tissue paper, carefully layering each individual shape on top of the next one, until recognizable figures finally emerge. She especially finds herself inspired by bold patterns, color and form found in and out of nature. Darrah resides in Dallas, Texas.
